The management of Pace of Play is time consuming no matter which method is used.
The method we currently use, marshalling and time analysis, is undoubtedly the most time effective. In contrast to bundy clock time stamps, the scorecard swipe times can at least be automatically collected and compiled.
But there is still some significant assistance that you can provide in making this job more efficient and ensuring you record valid times for your group.
Always swipe your card as soon after your round as possible.

As you can see, the middle group above did not swipe their cards straight away. At first glance they have had a very slow round but the group behind swiped before them and recorded a round of 4:17. The average gap between the first and last group in this bracket is 11 minutes. It is unlikely the third group played through the middle group, and in this case, subsequent groups had similar length rounds.

But it takes more than a causal glance to confirm these nuances and it assists greatly if all groups were scanned in sequence.
Always swipe your card as soon after your round as possible.
