Sometimes a group of players decide not to swipe their cards, or due to scanner malfunction, the cards are entered manually and don’t acquire a timestamp. The graph below shows just such a case.
The 11:32am group may have been the cause for the pace of the following groups, but so too might the 11:40am group. It helps if the Golf Shop staff can provide feedback on scanner issues to help identify these sorts of things. It’s also wise to inspect the timesheet before you confirm the issue as Gap related.
Certainly, a missing group would be an indicator that the 11:40am time failed to close the gap when an opportunity to do so presented. But in this case, the 11:32am group was indeed the cause of the longer round times which followed them. They should have received the tap on the shoulder.
